Laverbread

In South Wales, 'laver' is pronounced with a long 'A' – as in 'palaver'. This makes it a rather questionable choice for a round where each answer is supposed to contain the name of a Wimbledon singles champion – even if (according to Wikipedia) in Devon and Cornwall, where it's also eaten, it's pronounced as in the name of the former Australian tennis icon.

Also according to Wikipedia, the Welsh name for laverbread is "bara lafwr or bara lawr". Lafwr would be pronounced 'la–voor', which makes it closer to the English word (South Wales pronunciation); lawr would approximately rhyme with the English word 'sour'.

And by the way ... my Mum used to buy laverbread on Swansea market, and we'd have it fried for breakfast (with bacon, eggs, etc.). Lush!
